Hi

I run PSA 7.5.4 on fedora 2, with qmail.
Why doesn't qmail directly refuse improperly formatted e-mail addresses?

Will an update to the last qmail version help?
If not, are there patches for these 2 minor problems?

What problems are you talking about exactly? And why did you post this twice?

Sorry, just came back from holidays.

The double post was caused by a glitch - the computer froze.

The issue is that qmail fails some open relay tests, and thus some providers might consider the server as being an open relay.

I do not really know if this really happens.

Search in google about the % hack in qmail.

Qmail is not at fault for failing some tests regarding the percent hack. This has been known for sometime now and pretty well documented on the net.

Please see the following pages for more info:

Out of the box, Qmail has percenthack disabled/unconfigured, so unless you have changed it's config regarding that feature, then you should be safe...
