Hi there,

I finally got the credit card from my boss to order a year of asl. But the auth.net order page gets an error when I submit. I tried 3 times. I get Error: This transaction cannot be accepted.

I am William Clark. I created a new account (not the one I am using now) as bclark.

How can I purchase this?

According to authorize, they were rejected because the address does not match whats on file with your credit card company:

Address Verification Status: No match on Street and Zip (N)
Action: Transaction Declined

I suggest you check with the CC company to see what address they are expecting, perhaps a different billing or shipping address is on file than what you are using? Unfortunately, we can't see what that is, only that what was entered does not match what the CC company is expecting.

sigh. I supposedly have the correct billing address, and still get the same error. I started the order from scratch. Still under the bclark account, but the Billing info is for my boss.

This is a purchase for a company. I'm not sure if they use PayPal. :-/

Is it possible that they gave me the wrong address?

ok. tried another card, from a different boss here. Definitely have the correct billing address, and I get the same error. Your auth.net gateway is not working.

BTW: When I code these types of pages, I show the customer the error message from auth.net. Saves on support calls...

So, do I give up? I am not sure if this company has a paypal account that they want to use for this.

It totally crashed, when I submitted the order, but this time I got an order confirmation email for Invoice Number 4511.

Did it work? I have not received any other emails yet...

Regretably they all show declined. Have you asked your bank or CC company why they are declining these? All we can see in the merchat interface is this information:

Address Verification Status: No match on Street and Zip (N)

So your bank is rejecting the address for some reason. No clue what that is, but the bank/CC company is saying the address doesnt match. I wish there was something we could do, but its not in our control. But it looks like your last payment went through, and I see a different address for that one. So maybe thats the correct address for the other cards? My advice would be to ask the CC/bank card company what the address should be.

Your bank/CC company just approved the purchase. Your license is now active and you should have recieved an email from the license manager. If you require any other assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

For future reference, both google checkout and paypal accept credit card transactions. The only (and I mean *ONLY*) reason we keep authorize.net around is to handle sales for countries where paypal and google do not do business.
