I'm being drivern mad by the Android version of gmail.
I've configured asl and gmail to basically cause any asl email alerts Level 12 and above to be tagged in a certain way and to cause my phone to vibrate and have a particular ringer.
Great.
BUT....
gmail for android insists of enabling conversation mode. This means that even if I've previously deleted an alert, any subsequent alerts with the same subject (e.g. servername asl Alert Level 12)end up tagged onto the end of what can be a million messages, requiring scrolling for hours to get to them.
This is nuts
If there was some way to make sure each subject was different, however, for example by adding a time/date stamp, 4 digit random number, anything to make it unique, I think this would solve the problem.
Now obviously the best solution would be for google to give us the option to disable conversation mode in the android app. But this doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon.
This is driving me INSANE!
