Just noticed this on asl -s -f after changing mod_evasive settings:

Code:
# asl -s -f
Starting Atomic Secured Linux scan, please be patient...
GC Warning: Repeated allocation of very large block (appr. size 16781312):
May lead to memory leak and poor performance.
/bin/echo: write error: Operation not permitted

Interesting error (not the /bin/echo -- that's normal -- I mean the rest)

Any ideas? This appears to be from Garbage Collector, but I have no idea what's triggering it.

A reboot seems to have helped with this. But I changed a lot of other things at the same time, so may be unrelated.

I got the same thing after installing ASL (cPanel) on a new server.

Atomicorp, is this anything to worry about?

EDIT: Sorry, don't know why it posted twice. Feel free to delete the second one.

According to my understanding of this thread, it is a bug that you need not worry about.
