Is there a place to find a comprehensive list of what services can be disabled with chkconfig on a

Code:
Linux -server.com 2.6.11.9-050512a #1 SMP Thu May 12 20:53:02 CEST 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang)
Server version: Apache/2.0.51
Architecture:   32-bit

Probably doing this the hard way, but I'd like to shore the server up as best I can until we move to the ASL.

Thanks

not really, Ive sort of thrown some things into atomic-psa that will turn off unnecessary services, but its not a complete list. You can use the firewall rules that PSA generates as a good test for what you'd want to be running, and then just subtract everything else.

Give us some time. we're gonna go with ASL, but not just yet.

Wish you would be more akin to offering a bit more information to make us nibble more at your services.

We understand your business interests and we applaude and appreciate the help you have given us on and off the clock. We're only looking for more direct answers without placing a heavier load your work schedule.

SW-Soft offers such vague responses it's annoying as hell.

Someday, I'll have time to compile all the information I've gather and learned to-date and create a real online help site for Plesk user.

Forgive me. no insult intended against you.

You're the great ART and without you we'd all be lost.

Perhaps. But my primary concern is how we grow. How we decide when to stop providing people with help and start placing a dollar amount on what we know, how we can teach; and how to inspire positive influences on those requesting our help.

Some of us have grown to the point that (no direction intended) we no longer wish to offer answers that will help, but pointers that will distract and forcefully cause paid contracts to be made.

If a book is necessary, then I'm on it.

Rest assured, if a book is what it takes then we're all in trouble.

I'm all about providing one-on-one support as best as can be given.
