You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.

php must be upgraded first?
Current:
PHP Version: 5.1.6
MYSQL Version: 5.0.77-log

I followed:
http://www.question-defense.com/2009/07 ... -ispconfig
#yum update php returned the same output as above.

I would like to upgrade mysql.
Can anyone suggest what I should do?

Try removing php-sqlite2, that looks to me like its the barrier.

I have managed to erase plesk billing & site builder + php-sqlite2

I have upgraded mysql according to:
http://www.atomicorp.com/wiki/index.php/Mysql

So far, so good, sort of...

One error during the update from atomic repo:
Failed loading /usr/lib64/php/modules//php_ioncube_loader_lin_5.1_x86_64.so: /usr/lib64/php/modules//php_ioncube_loader_lin_5.1_x86_64.so: undefine
d symbol: zend_unmangle_property_name_ex

Installed:
php-ioncube-loader.x86_64 1:3.3.20-2.el5.art
(again)

However...
Site error: the file /path/to/index.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

(I can see ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so in a sub folder of the program that is sending the above error)

Any ideas on how I resolve this little one?

edit /etc/php.d/ioncube-loader.ini
zend_extension=/usr/lib64/php/modules//php_ioncube_loader_lin_5.2_x86_64.so
- seems to have done it.

I would just like to take a moment to thank those of you who answer my newb questions in this forum.

Thank you.

And to the ASL support team whom I bug constantly.

Thank you.

This "risk management" caper is a definite learning curve but I am always moving forwards.

Maybe one day I will be experienced enough to reciprocate.

Who knows?

One last little bug...

php -v
PHP Warning: Module 'ionCube Loader' already loaded in Unknown on line 0
The ionCube PHP Loader is disabled because of startup problems.
PHP 5.2.14 (cli) (built: Aug 12 2010 16:03:48)
Copyright (c) 1997-2010 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.28, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd., and

There is a post in the forum that suggests removing /etc/php.d/ioncube.ini after making the edit mentioned above to /etc/php.d/ioncube-loader.ini

# cat 'ioncube.ini' | less
zend_extension=/usr/lib64/php/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so
# cat 'ioncube-loader.ini' | less
zend_extension=/usr/lib64/php/modules//php_ioncube_loader_lin_5.2_x86_64.so

I renamed /etc/php.d/ioncube.ini as ioncube.ini_disabled and I think this worked.
Did I select the preferred .ini file or doesn't it matter, anyway?

NOW:
php -v
PHP 5.2.14 (cli) (built: Aug 12 2010 16:03:48)
Copyright (c) 1997-2010 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.28, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd

Yeah you did, I think the other one gets added by plesk sitebuilder.

So I ran the updates from mysql 4.1 to mysql 5.1 on centos 4 plesk 8.6 and now half the databases on the server have tables that show as corrupt. mysql_upgrade just spits out a ton of:

Error : Incorrect key file for table 'jos_components'; try to repair it
error : Corrupt

for example. It seems that according to http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=37631 there is simply no way to upgrade from mysql 5.0.62 or earlier to mysql 5.1, you have to go to mysql 5.0.62 first, let it convert the tables to a new format, then go to 5.1 and let it again convert the tables. Otherwise, you're going to end up with random table crashes in 5.1 like I've just done, so now I'm trying to figure out how to back out the ART 5.1 package to 5.0.x if I can find one or back down to 4.1 which probably won't be possible now that I've attempted the mysql_upgrade command.

Good grief. That's not good.
