I've tested ART some months ago with my "old" server.

Now I've a new provider, and a new server.

But I think I've problem with ART in the past because I didn't follow a correct installation guide.

Is there any install doc for spamassassin and Clamd with ART ?

I only want to install these two packages with my plesk.
I think that opensource programs are better than propritary ones (like Dr web wich I should pay for, and I don't know what/how it does...).

If there is no install guide, I can maybe wrote one ... and be helped to do that by other people on this forum ...

You need to install qmail-scanner to use clamav with PSA. So run the following:

1) Set up the archive:
wget -q -O - http://www.atomicorp.com/installers/atomic.sh |sh

2) Update spamassassin, and install Clamav, qmail-scanner, and SA support packages:

yum update spamassassin
yum install clamd qmail-scanner dcc pyzor razor-agents

3) Restart the services, and update the qmail-scanner config.
service spamassassin restart
service clamd start
qmail-scanner-reconfigure

But I think a lot of people here come to have a free antispam solution with plesk, and on "www.atomicrocketturtle.com", no page "how to" for new user ...

Yes, I don't know how Scott does it. He comes out with all this brilliant stuff, and always helps with problems when he can.

i've tring to do aooi on a root 1and1 server it can not find iso what did i do wrong ?

i was following the video doing the (sh) it was running thru the stuff and then error can't find centos iso. i read somewhere that the 3es server was going offline/changing so maybe i was to change something. this looked like it was automatic install for 1and1 stuff. this is my 1st root server that i can't put my hands on.thanks for your help. it looks like highland has same problem need to move to that thread

How Can I use only spamd for ClamAV and SpamAssassin? I dont want to use Spamd by Spamassassin.

Any special command?

When you follow the installation mentioned above and keep the psa-spammassasin interface plask has do the changes you make through plesk work?

I think we should remove psa-spamassassin and only install spamassassin from ART, maybe I'm wrong ?

5 minutes before I've read this post, I was on http://www.atomicorp.com/wiki/index.php/Spamassassin . And I have some question : how can we get mysql and spamassassin working together ? Wich packet should we update or remove ? maybe wiki is wrong ?

Another question : in the past with my old server running plesk 8.0 (Fedora core 5 - I have now a "new" server with FC5 and plesk 8.1) I had in the past some trouble with clamd and user & group that clamd use (qscand.qscand) to write logs after an signature update of clamav.

Is there any problem with users/perms/FC5 and clamd today ? or any good wiki page ?

the first is the one coming from /etc/init.d/spamassassin

where is the other one from? psa-spamassassin?
